Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for 86.4 million pounds in the summer of 2023.
The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the initial significant achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would like to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he once was, and would definitely think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he remarked.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after overcoming his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
